Antipodean Shenanigans Aplenty

OK These are the things that I think I need to do before I go to Australia:

Practical Stuff in the UK

Move into shared accomodation: Sorted
Get a VISA: Sorted
Get a flight: Sorted
Get a money transfer account: Sorted
Get an Oz bank acount: End of August 09 (Think I'm going with Westpac??!)
Get Assessed by the AASW: Start in September 09
Save up each month & deposit in Oz: Start in September 09 (Recommend $5000 aus)
Inform all contracts etc of leave date: January 2009

Other Stuff:

Make a copy of all important documents e.g. passport/qualifications/medical info: Sorted
Make a file to keep at home with all important info incase my folks need it: Sorted
Look at Hostels.. n book for the first few days??? weeks??? Sort by December 09
Get lots of info & reeeeeeead it: Know where you're going!
Join couchsurfing.com Sort by December 09
Plan what i'm taking.... eg. Me & a big rucksack

Try not to forget to have fun :-D

I just like to get all the background stuff done first then I can float about all free and relaxed when I get there!

This is me, sat on the sofa in Manchester, letting thoughts of travel swirl around my ickle pink brain :D
